GameEx crash after exiting game

I am getting a GameEx crash after exiting a game in mame. The strange thing is that I have it set up as a mame emulator #9 for a map file for a category but I also have many other mame emulator(6,7 & 8) set up for other categories that work fine using the same settings. Basically any game I exit in that category which uses mame in the #9 spot crashes GameEx and all other mame emulators I have set up the same in spots 6,7,8 work fine.
