Feedback from a disappointed customer

OK after having used game ex for a while I will have to say to if I had the choice again, I wouldn't buy game ex.

Why did I buy game ex (lifetime license at that)? Mostly because I was excited about the 7z-merged sets support, I thought "cool I can finally merge everything. But you know what? I didn't merge anything at the end, because game ex support for merged set is just too poor and has way more cons than pros, overall you will prefer stay on split sets to not loose too many features. For example you won't be able to check more than one manual for any merged set, so if you only care about seeing your regional manual it's ok, but if someday you wanted the jp manual of say final fantasy 6, then you won't be able to. And of course that's just one example there are many other features you can say goodbye to if you go for merged. On top of that the DS set which is the one benefiting the most in hdd space gain if you 7z-merge it, DeSmume (the only decent DS emu around) has already built in support for 7z merged set.

Of course I tried to report my problems to the community, but I felt like nobody cared about it and I was wasting my time.

So yes I wouldn't buy it again, and as long as the paid features have more downsides to them than real advantages, I wouldn't advice anybody to buy game ex.

That were my 0.02
